    Deccan college is very old and famous semi government institute working in archaeology. Due to shortage of space in existing archaeology museum, college proposes to construct new museum. The site is located adjacent to college office building, heritage structure built by british government. New museum comprises of ten galleries, office, lab & canteen. Museum is arranged around three open to sky courtyards. So every gallery is attached to internal open to sky courtyard. Each gallery comprises of corner full height louvered window for ventilation and strip of fixed window at floor beam bottom level with ACP sheet light reflectors in front of window to give diffused light. Building is constructed in levels as per natural slope. External course rubble stone masonry matches with the surroundings.
